Grove Street Christian Outreach Center
|
|
We provide two volunteers to the Grove Christian
Outreach Center each Tuesday morning for two
or more hours to stock their food pantry shelves.
The Grove Christian Outreach Center is located
across from James River Elementary School on
Pocahontas Trail in Grove.

Christine Garvey Memorial Soccer Tournament
- funding for "Komen for the Cure"
|
|
The tournament provides funding for the "Komen
for the Cure" in the battle against breast
cancer. The tournament allows our local youth
to compete while raising funds for a worthy
cause.
Volunteers help at the concession stand and
sell tickets at the entrance to the park.

This
is Avalon's one day of cleanup and repair to
their facility and they need lots of help, especially
with maintenance and upgrades.

Busch Gardens Wilber Davis
Kids Program
|
|
The Wilbur Davis KIDS program sends underprivileged
youth to Busch Gardens for a day. The one-day
price at Busch Gardens is now $61.95 so your
$25 is a real bargain and it sends local youth
for a day of great fun and memories.

Salvation Army Bell Ringing
|
|
Christmas and Christmas in July - It's that
time of year again ... time to "Ring the
Bell" for the Salvation Army. Members volunteer
for a two hour shift to assist this fine organization.

Housing Partnerships Inc.
|
|
Housing Partnerships Inc. is a locally funded
non-profit agency that provides vital housing
repair services to very low-income individuals,
and families who are unable to help themselves
due to sickness, disability, or lack of financial
resources.

Highway Trash Pickup
|
|
We meet at 7:30 a.m. at the Gazebo pancake
house on Bypass Road for breakfast and fellowship.
Bring appropriate attire and gloves. We’re
usually done at around 9 a.m.
