Education -- Did You Know?

Kiwanis Indoctrination; Obligations: Part 2 of 3:  Financial - with few exceptions, there is a luncheon meeting each Wednesday of the year. You are charged $10.75 for the lunch whether you attend or not. However, a senior member (10 years or more) may ask for senior members status and pays only for the meals he/she eats. There is also a $3.00 social fee each month which pays for the Christmas party, summer picnic, etc.

Announcements

- Blood Drive co-sponsored by Kiwanis - this Friday, August 1 - Walsingham Academy - 10AM to 7PM.  Food and door prizes available.
Call 229-4141 for an appointment.
- The Cal Ripken Baseball 10-Year-Old World Series will be held in Williamsburg at the JCC District Sports Complex off Longhill Road, 2-9 August. Volunteers needed. Please contact Wayne Rickman if interested: 757-880-1008 or ripkenseries2003@aol.com.
- Kiwanogram Ad spaces will be available with the August 6 edition.  See or call Bill Perkins for more information.  Payment must be received before ad is run.
- Shrimp Feast will be held on September 13.
-District Convention will be held August 15-17 in Rockville, MD
- Kiwanis Is Donating Smiles ends July 31. For every $20.00 donation, an underprivileged child spends a free day at Busch
