Education -- Did You Know?

Membership.  In the one year period from June 1, 2002 through May 31, 2003 we have lost 21 members and gained 22 members for a net gain of ONLY 1 member for the whole year. The reasons for the losses are varied and include: 2 deaths; 6 relocations; 6 priorities changed; 6 financial; and,1 age and health related.
We now have 217 members. Our Club needs more gains in the future! We are inevitably going to have some losses in the future for some of the same valid reasons as stated above. Even if only 15% of us sponsored a new member this year our Club would likely grow but we can do a lot better than that! All of us need to encourage our friends who are not Kiwanians to join our Club! Even more importantly, all members need to be participating members and support our projects!

THOUGHTS TO PONDER

"Duty is a very personal thing.  It is what comes from knowing the need to take action and not just a need to urge others to do something."  (Mother Teresa)
