Speaker:  Robert L. Graves
Bob Graves has been Administrator of Sentara Williamsburg since December 1, 2003.  Prior to this, he was administrator at Sentara - VA Beach for 14 years. Graves has a solid record of program development in areas of cardiology, neonatal care and advanced imaging. Graves also saw the VA Beach hospital through its merger into the Sentara system in 1998.  Graves now oversees the development of the new Williamsburg hospital campus scheduled to open in 2006 -- and the recently opened Outpatient Care Center -- on Mooretown Road.

Did You Know?  --  Education:  Protecting Children From Media Violence, Part 1 of 4:  In June, 2001 at the International Kiwanis convention in Taiwan, Kiwanis passed the following Resolution: "Today’s children are growing up in a media culture that permeates most of their lives. Media affect children’s ideas about play, what they want to eat and wear, how they want to look, and the nature of relationships. Media culture can both negatively and positively influence children’s behavior and ideas.  In recent years, the amount and severity of violence (physical, mental and sexual) in societies and in the media has become of increasing concern. This violence intrudes on the daily lives of children throughout the world."
