Speaker: Rondra Matthews, Jesse Todd, Ernie Gates
Our guests today represent the leadership of the
Daily Press. Ronnie Matthews was named President, Publisher and CEO of the
paper in July 2000. Previously, Ms. Matthews served as vice president/general
manager of the Orlando Sentinel where she began her career in 1980. She is a
member of several local boards.
For 26 years, Ernie Gates has been involved in almost every area of the Daily
Press' coverage. He began his career as a business reporter, continued in a
number of editor positions and in July 2001 was named Vice President and
Editor. Mr. Gates is a graduate of the College of William and Mary.
Jesse Todd has been with the Daily Press for 28 years. He has served as the
Editorial Page Editor for three years and prior to that worked in several
newsroom capacities which included editorial writing and weekly columns. Mr.
Todd is also a graduate of the College of WM.
