Bob Tschannen-Moran   

Bob Tschannen-Moran, joined our club last year after moving to Williamsburg from Columbus, Ohio. In 1998, Bob founded a personal and professional coaching company, LifeTrek Coaching International. This virtual company now includes a staff of six coaches, with clients around the world. Their mission is to assist people to be more successful and fulfilled in life and work. The coaching process focuses on the goals and passions that move people forward. LifeTrek Coaching publishes a free weekly electronic newsletter that is distributed to more than 38,000 people in 128 countries on personal computers and handheld devices. Bob was raised in Ohio and attended Northwestern and Yale Divinity School. He served as a United Church of Christ pastor for 20 years.  He is married to Megan Tschannen-Moran, an Assistant Professor at the College of William & Mary and the father of two children.

Education -- Did You Know?

Children and Media Violence, Part 4 of 4:  "THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:  Kiwanis International develop, promote and make readily available to all Kiwanis clubs and other sponsored service programs of Kiwanis supporting materials on media violence which includes specific actions Kiwanis clubs and members of the Kiwanis family can implement to reduce the impact of media violence on children.
Kiwanis International establish liaison with other groups and organizations encouraging them to join Kiwanis in collaborative and individual efforts to express our concerns and make appropriate contacts with leaders in the media to assist in minimizing children’s exposure to media violence and promote children’s exposure to pro-social positive material.
Kiwanis clubs and Kiwanians use the supporting materials developed by Kiwanis International and other organizations to implement programs for members of the Kiwanis family to personally or collectively call upon the media to eliminate violence in the media."

Announcements

-Kiwanis Community Service Award (Korczowski-Fuller Award).  Each year, the Club recognizes members and friends who give time and help to others in the Kiwanis tradition.  Last year's awards went to Carol Copenhaver and Rita Davis.  You can propose names to the following members:  Ray Adams, Jim Anthony, Ed Wigley or Alan Morledge by June 25.
-Peninsula Agency on Aging's MED TRAN Program: Our club has agreed to support
the Medical Transportation program where volunteer drivers assist those who are unable to drive, in reaching medical or dental appointments. If you are interested in helping these folks in their need, please see Tom French. It is a "drive when you are available" commitment.
