Today:   Michael Kirby

Michael Kirby was born and educated in England. He immigrated to the United States in 1958 and worked in the advertising agency business for 20 years. In 1978 he joined one of his clients, Xerox Corporation, where he spent 15 years as Director of Worldwide Advertising and Promotion.
He moved to Williamsburg in 1995 and lives with his artist wife Juliet in James City County. In addition to being President of This Century Art Gallery, he is also Vice
Chair of the National Student Parent Mock Election, a national civics education project that promotes awareness and understanding of our democratic system and encourages students K-12 to participate in elections by voting in a Mock Election every two years. Over 10 million youngsters have voted in the last two Presidential Mock Elections.

Education -- Did You Know?

Membership Obligations Kiwanis is a service organization. When members join the club they accept the obligation to participate in fund-raising, service projects and other activities of the club, all of which benefit the community. Members may participate in a variety of ways
1. Fund-raising projects, by working on the project and/or selling tickets. 2. By working on the service projects. 3. By participating in interclubs. 4. By actively working with your committees.
Dismissal for Non-participation Any active member of the club who, without excuse, fails to regularly attend club meetings or actively participate in the activities of the club may be suspended by a majority vote of the Board of Directors and notified in writing by the Club Secretary.

- Change of Date. The next Board meeting will be April 17 -- instead of April 10. Please note.
- Congratulations to Artie Bornschein who will be the Division 23 Lt. Governor for the administrative year 2004-2005. He will be instated as the "LTG Elect at the Division Council Meeting on April 10.
