  Program:      Kiwanis Club of Williamsburg Teenager of the Year

Ashley Pinney, Senior at Jamestown High School is the 2004 “Teenager of the Year” contest winner.  This Club recognition is presented to a deserving local teenager for his/her academic achievement, citizenship, service to school and community, character, leadership performance and responsibility in their family unit. Recommendations are also received from teachers, counselors, clergy, etc. Stephanie Passman, a Senior at Walsingham was the runner-up this year.  The Club will donate $200. to a charity of Ashley’s choice. Five judges -- all members of the Club made this year's selections.

Announcements

The Make-A-Wish Foundation, which the Club regularly supports, is holding a "Walk, Run, Bike Ride" fundraising event on Saturday, May 1, at York High School. There are registration forms at the head table for those interested in participating. The event could also use volunteers, should you choose not to enter the events. See Tom French for details.
- The William & Mary Circle K club has formed a team for this year's Relay for Life on April 2 - 3 (sponsored by the American Cancer Society).  Your support would be welcome and appreciated.  If you would like to make a donation, please make checks payable to the American Cancer Society and send to C. - Presidents Park is offering complimentary admission to the park for all Club members and one guest any time between now and April 1, 2004. The park is open 7 days a week from 10 am until 10 pm. Identify yourself as a member of the Kiwanis Club.
