  Program:      Former WM Men's Soccer Coach

Al Albert                                 
Al Albert was the Tribe’s head soccer coach for the last 33 seasons, beginning with the 1971 campaign, and played two years of soccer for the Green and Gold before he graduated from W&M in 1969, making him a part of 35 of the College’s 37 varsity seasons. He compiled a career record of 401-187-64 (.664) and has the eighth-most career coaching wins in NCAA Division I history. Under his leadership, W&M has a current streak of 29 consecutive winning seasons, which began in 1975, and is tied for the fourth-longest active streak in Division I. Albert led the team to 12 NCAA Tournament appearances, six Colonial Athletic Association championships, one Southern Conference title and 10 final top-25 national rankings. A four-time CAA Coach of the Year, he was also named the Region Coach of the Year four times and was voted Virginia Coach of the Year three times
Al will immediately assume a position with the Tribe Club, the fundraising arm of the athletic department.  He is a member of the Club and resides in Williamsburg with his wife, Gail.

Education --Part 1 of 2 : There are more than 8,200 Kiwanis clubs with nearly 300,000 members in more than 80 nations. The average Kiwanian is an active or retired business or professional man or woman who is 55.1 years old, a college graduate, married, and a homeowner. He or she is an owner or manager of a firm in the $25 million or less range. Membership was opened to women in 1987. There are now more than 51,000 women members, and 1 in 7 (14.3%) club presidents is a woman.

- Music Theater of Williamsburg salutes the Kiwanis Club of Williamsburg with an evening of great entertainment on Saturday, March 13 at 8PM.  The entire family is welcome.
