Speaker:   Thom Prevette, Vice President, Government and Public Affairs Cox Communications, Hampton Roads
          
 

A graduate of the University of North Carolina, Thom Prevette has over thirty years experience in the cable and telecommunications industry. As the Vice President of Government and Public Affairs for Cox Communications, Hampton Roads, Thom is responsible for Governmental Affairs, Public and Media Relations, and Community Programming on Cox channel 11.  Cox Communications has a long history of strong  community service in Hampton Roads. As the fourth largest cable provider in the nation, Cox offers both analog cable-TV as well as advanced digital video services, including local and long distance telephone, high speed Internet and commercial & voice and data services.

Education -- Kiwanis International Foundation - Part 5 of 5:  Kiwanis International mailed 5,000 surveys to U.S. members and received 1792 responses, with the following results:  Respondents who have/had family members in Kiwanis 26.8%;  Number of members who are women 19%;  Number of members with household income of less than $25,000/year 4%
