28 members. Our club is one of   
9 comprising Division 23 of the Capital District.
The Kiwanis Club of Williamsburg is the third largest in the Capital District.

Speaker:  
Ed Crapol     

Professor Ed Crapol has been an exchange professor at Exeter University in England, and has lectured in Canada, Ireland, Vietnam, and Germany.  In 1991 he received William and Mary's Thomas Ashley Graves, Jr. Award for Sustained Excellence in Teaching and in 1992 was the recipient of the College's Thomas Jefferson Award.  In 1999 he received the Faculty Service Award from the Society of the Alumni. During his tenure at WM, Crapol served as the Chair of the History Department and Director of the Graduate Program in History.
Crapol is the author of America for Americans: Economic Nationalism and Anglophobia in the Late Nineteenth Century and the editor of Women and American Foreign Policy: Lobbyists, Critics, and Insiders.  His most recent book, James G. Blaine: Architect of Empire, was published in 1999. Crapol also has authored numerous scholarly articles and essays, including "Coming to Terms with Empire," in Paths to Power.  He currently is completing a book-length study of President Tyler, tentatively entitled "Setting Precedents: John Tyler and the Pursuit of National Destiny."  Crapol has a BS from SUNY-Buffalo and MS and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin.
Ed is perhaps better known in his role as husband of Mayor Jeanne Zeidler

Did You Know?  --  Kiwanis’ Future: Part 6 of 6:  Finance – Kiwanis International will create the financial resources to meet the goals, objectives, and strategies outlined in the strategic plan. To achieve this goal, Kiwanis will continue to improve the quality of service to its clubs and members, develop partnerships with corporations and other organizations, seek other sources of revenue, develop a flexible dues structure that is more equitable to clubs in developing nations, and increase membership worldwide.
