History: 
Founded on April 29, 1958, with   
28 members. Our club is one of   
9 comprising Division 23 of the Capital District.
The Kiwanis Club of Williamsburg is the third largest in the Capital District.

Program:  Past Present and Future of the Monitor  
Speaker:
David Reiger, Mariner's Museum 
 
David Rieger graduated from Virginia Tech in 1992 with a Bachelor's Degree in History and began working as an interpreter for the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation interpreting Early Colonial History to visitors.   Following that job, he spent four years working, in costume, on the 17th Century replica ships at Jamestown Settlement. He then began teaching in classrooms as a Traveling Teacher. Two and one-half years ago, he was hired as the Interpretive Services Manager at the Mariners Museum where he supervises, trains and oversees tour guides and docents.
The subject of his talk will be the "Past, Present and Future of the Monitor."
