Speaker: John McCrimmon,Executive Director

John McCrimmon is Executive Director of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of the Virginia Peninsula (RSVP-VP) and has been in this position for two years.  Previously he served as Executive Director of Williamsburg-James City County Community Action Agency from 1983-2001.  John was raised in Illinois -- but he soon fell in love with mountains and ended up teaching at Radford University in 1971 after receiving his doctorate in Education.  Prior to arriving in Williamsburg, John worked at the New River Community Action Agency servicing the Pulaski-Radford-Blacksburg area.

Education --Kiwanis International Foundation Part 7 of 9 - Kiwanis Fellow Program: This program recognizes annual contributions of $100 (or more) to support the grants and programs of the Foundation. Memorials and Tributes: Memorial contributions honor a deceased Kiwanian, family member or friend. Tribute and "in honor of" contributions are made to honor Kiwanians, family members or friends on anniversaries, birthdays and other special occasions

Announcements

- Salvation Army Bell Ringing.  See Artie Bornschein for sign up.  Two hour shifts are needed -- November 28, 29;  December 5, 12, 13, 20 at either K-Mart or Walmart.
- Please not there will be no meetings on December 24 or December 31.
-Gil Granger is recovering at Riverside Rehab from a stroke suffered last week.  The address is 254 Chesapeake Avenue -- and he is in Room 408.  Gil's family reports he is recovering well.
