28 members. Our club is one of   
9 comprising Division 23 of the Capital District.
The Kiwanis Club of Williamsburg is the third largest in the Capital District.

Ron Rapoport            WM Professor of Government

Professor Ronald B. Rapoport is John Marshall Professor of Government at WM where he also serves as chair of the department. He received his B.A. from Oberlin College and his PhD from the University of Michigan. Since 1980 he has conducted research on U. S. political party activists funded by grants from the National Science Foundation and his published articles are in the areas of political behavior, political parties and women and politics. He is the author of  close to 100 articles and presentations including such interesting titles as  " Candidate-Centered Sources of Party Change", "Party Polarization: The Reagan Revolution and Beyond" and "Religion and Politics in the South". His most recent book, Catalyst for Change: Ross Perot, Republican Resurgence, and the Dynamic of Third Parties was just released. He is on the editorial boards of Women and Politics and Political Research Quarterly, and previously served on the Political Science Review Panel of the National Science Foundation.  He is the co-editor of The Life of the Parties. His courses focus on American politics as well as survey research and polling.
