Speaker:  Senator Tommy Norment      

Senator Norment has been a frequent guest of Kiwanis over the years.  He has lived in the Williamsburg area most of his life graduating from James Blair High School - continuing at VMI and then receiving a law degree at the William and Mary School of Law.  Tommy is a partner in the firm of Kaufman and Canoles.  He has served in the Senate of Virginia since 1992 and is a senior member of five committees including the Finance Committee.  He began his public service as a member of the James City Board of Supervisors in 1988.
Tommy serves on a number of boards and commissions including co-chair of the Jamestown Yorktown Foundation.  Tommy and his wife, Mary lives in James City County.  They have two grown daughters.

Education -- Kiwanis International Foundation: Part 3 of 9:  Kiwanians find preferred ways to continually support the Foundation by contributing to established programs, including the Foundation, in their will, or naming the Foundation as a beneficiary in an insurance policy. Kiwanians ensure the perpetuation of your Kiwanis International Foundation and its mission. A 14 member Board of Trustees governs the Kiwanis International Foundation with the following officers: President, President-Elect, Treasurer, and Immediate Past President. The Board meets three times annually.

Announcements

- The annual meeting of the Kiwanis Club of Williamsburg Foundation will be held as part of Club Day at the weekly luncheon on November 5, 2003.
- WM Circle K will again provide Fall yard clean up services such as raking leaves, weeding, etc. on weekends. This year the funds we collected will go towards cystic fibrosis. Claudine Waigenfeld can be contacted at cvwaig@wm.edu and 757-221-5655.
