THE KIWANIS CLUB OF WILLIAMSBURG AND ITS TAX EXEMPT
FOUNDATION INVITE COMMUNITY NOT-FOR-PROFITS TO SUBMIT
APPLICATIONS FOR 2008 GRANTS
Williamsburg – The Kiwanis Club of Williamsburg
Board of Directors and its Foundation Board of Directors
are pleased to announce that applications are now
being accepted from IRS qualified not-for-profit organizations
for 2008 grant support.
The application deadline is June
1, 2008. All grants for this fiscal
year will be awarded no later than
September 30, 2008.
Since 1958, citizens in the Williamsburg area have
had good reason to know the good works of the Kiwanis
Club of Williamsburg and its Foundation. Members of
this dynamic 218 member club are also members of the
Foundation. Their activities center around ”Serving
the Children of the World.” Nearly 50 area organizations
have benefited from their worthwhile fundraising
projects that include the annual Shrimp
Feast, Snowball Dinner/Dance, and Smiles for Kids
program. The club and its foundation invite you to
support their efforts at this year’s Shrimp
Feast which will be held on September 16 at the Jamestown
4-H Club and the Colonial Polo Cup at Shirley Plantation
which will be held on October 8 so reserve those dates
now, make plans for some fun and show your support!
The Kiwanis Club of Williamsburg, one of this worldwide
service organization’s most active chapters,
and its Foundation, annually award grants to deserving
community organizations.
Applications are available on this website. If you
choose to complete the form on the website for submission
you will simply click on the submit button at the
bottom of the form. This will forward your application
form via direct email to the Vice President of the
Club. If for various reasons you choose to send your
application via U.S. mail, the only address that will
be accepted is to the Kiwanis Club of Williamsburg,
Kiwanis Club of Williamsburg Foundation, Attn: Club

individual club or foundation members, committee chairpersons,
officers or board members are not guaranteed to be
delivered to the Club Vice President by the deadline,
